Chimney Rock - The Park, located 25 miles southeast of Asheville, North Carolina, offers the best of the mountains in one place-spectacular 75-mile views, hiking trails for all ages, a 404-foot waterfall, Nature Center, Native Plant Nursery, a variety of special events and much more. Sliding Rock - Sliding Rock is a naturally occurring 60-foot waterslide with a seven-foot deep pool that has been developed by the US Forest Service into a recreation area. Sliding Rock is extremely popular on hot summer weekends. $1 per person from Memorial Day to Labor Day. 7.5 miles north of Hwy 64 on Hwy 276.
